What is Datafest Spain?
Datafest Spain is an organisation with the aim of bringing together the Spanish Data & Analytics (D&A) community and making a positive impact on society by sharing ideas and promoting collaboration through talks, networking events and… our famous datathon!
We collaborate with companies, institutions, and individuals who want to help us bring our initiatives to life. We are truly grateful to them — without their support, our work would not be possible. To name just a few: collaborators such as Moisés Martín or the creators of the skforecast library, Joaquín Amat and Javier Escobar. We also work with companies like IKEA–Ingka Group and Santander Consumer Global Services.

What is our Dathaton?
Inspired by the datathons organised by prestigious universities in the United States, we have brought to Spain a competition that brings together students, recent graduates, and data professionals to tackle real-world challenges provided by companies. Over the course of three intensive days, participants work in teams to develop innovative solutions ranging from exploratory analyses to complex artificial intelligence (AI) applications.
Our latest datathon in numbers: Organised by the Institute for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Navarra (UNAV) in collaboration with IKEA–Ingka Group, we created the largest in-person intensive datathon in Spain. A three-day event bringing together the knowledge and experience of young professionals and employees from across the country.
